Daily Free Press: Example of Harsh Reality for Student Newspapers
We at the Society of Professional Journalists New England chapter are happy to see that the Boston University student paper, The Daily Free Press, surpassed its goal in fundraising to continue circulation for the fall semester!
But let that be a wake-up call for all student newspapers.
Know that the Society of Professional Journalists national organization is supportive of all student newspapers, and in fact officially threw its support behind the Save Student Newsrooms campaign.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us or the national organization if you are a student newspaper and you find yourself in a bind.
